Overall, these socks seem to be well rated, my hubby picked them out for himself because he thought they were pretty cool. They are loud and fabulously colorful, so naturally, I agree ;) He's worn two different pairs. I didn't get a good look at the first pair when he took it off, but I did get a good look at the second one, and I've included a picture.So, he wore these to church yesterday (it is the only time he wore the pictured pair) with his silver bow tie. I must say, he does look good with a bow tie ;) On more then 50% of the colored wedges, there are loops of threads coming loose around the borders between colors. I have tried to put circles and arrows to draw some attention to it, it was actually not the easiest of things to catch on film, because while I have this super cool phone case, my phone itself has a super crummy camera. Super crummy, but I digress. So, if you go into the inside of the sock, there are all of these loose threads where they switched colors.As a person who used to try and knit (I am really, really bad at it), and a person who still crochets every so often (that one, I can rock!) and has done color work, I can tell you, those ends...should have been woven in and not cut loose like they all are. Because these socks are going to continue to unravel and work their way loose at all of these loose thread points.So, I love that my hubby loves the way these look and they make him happy. He is my very best friend, so his happiness matters to me, so I think we just may need to get him some better quality ones in the not so distant future. It's possible we just got a bad batch, but it's still a cautionary note for you to be aware of...They really loved them!Lucky socks!! I hesitated to give these socks 5 stars, but will give them a SOLID 4 stars. At roughly $5.59 per pair, I feel that this "novelty" set of socks is a great buy. They arrived in a nice gift box. Do not expect Ralph Lauren or Gold Toe quality here, but the quality is good enough. They are fun, colorful "play" socks perfect for the casino gambler in your life, which is precisely why I ordered them - a Christmas gift for my casino gambler man friend. Something fun. Buy them!I like the fun l, colorful patterns of these socks. They are very soft, but they are thin, dress-socks. They come up about mid-calf on me. I am a woman, but I wear men's size 9 shoes so I can get wider shoes. The foot length part of the socks is a little long on me, and the part on the leg is a little snugger than I like, so I push them down. I found a small hole on the big toe seam after wearing them once. I don't know if the hole was there before I wore them or appeared after I wore them for the day. Overall I like the socks, but I think they would fit men with size 10 or larger feet, with regular to smaller calves.Love these socks I bought as a gift and will buy myself a set too now. The animals are brilliant and good quality socks that are worth the pricesoft, comfortable and perfect size. highly recommended.
